My little niece, Lyndsey started laughing and yelled "Whoa, Kenzie Rae's hair!" It was so funny. She then ran to my room to get my camera. (Her mom is a picture aholic) So I guess she wanted a picture. Which I would have probably taken anyway. I also put her in a dress that kelly bought her and thought I would share it with you all. For Two reasons- I love this dress. I think it is adorable. But best of all kelly bougth it from her store-Dollar Tree. I know a dress from the dollar store but thanks to my bargain shopping friend, Kenzie has quite a few outfits from there and yes they were only $1. She also has a heap of swimsuits also only $1. So if you are in the need for a great bargain- step into a dollar tree and see what you find. You might suprise yourself!!!

Beauty Queen
I was getting Kenzie ready today and I always put lotion in her hair to help it slick better. This is what we got after that.
Post for Lisa and Dani
Harley our Chihuahua had her puppies the other night. I am so glad that she does all the work herself because I was exhausted and was quit annoyed when I saw that she had had one. I thought we would be up all night but she just did her thing while Marty and I watched a movie. She had three and we thought she was done so we went to bed and in the morning she had four so I guess we were wrong. She is such a good mama and takes good care of her babies. There are two males and two females and three of them are going to be long haired. We love when she has babies and its fun to get to play with them for a couple of weeks before we sell them. Hope you enjoy these pics you dog lovers.
1st Day of School
Yesterday was my kids' first day of school. They have talked me into letting them ride their bikes this year. Yes I know they are old enough I guess I just have a hard time letting go. So this is my sob story. On Wednesday my sister in law called to see if I could watch their baby and I told her yes just to bring her at 8:30 so I could take her with me to take the kids. The kids heard this and jumped on me saying we are riding our bikes and your not going with us. I asked them if they wanted me to take them to school for the first day and they asked me why and I said because its the first day and they informed me that they have gone to Wilson for two years and knew what they were doing. So against MY needs I let them ride their bikes and off they went. How sad is that! So I want to say- what am I chopped liver! I really am feeling like motherhood is a rip off right now. I mean I gave birth to them, changed them, fed them, potty trained them, woke up at night with them, helped them learn to ride the darn bike just to get them for 8 short years and off they go! What is up with that. I really hope that there is more to it than this and sometime they will still need me. I don't even care if it is for a ride or money- just to be needed would be nice. I now know why my mom had a breakdown before my wedding- Kids aren't supposed to grow up so fast!!!
All about Kenzie Rae
As Kelly has reminded me about every other day for the last month- my baby is turning one in about a week and a half. Were did the time go. I know we all ask ourselves that but I swear it goes faster with each kid. She is just so fun and I really can't get enough of her. Here are some pics of her doing some funny stuff.
Shopping in Park City
Last Thursday, my cute best friend Kelly and I decided to take the kids to Park City shopping. So we loaded up the suburban and off we left. For all of you who know my I am NOT a morning person but I was up and left by 7 am. I called my sister on my way to Ogden and she called me back worried that something was wrong because I was up so early. Just to let you all know- I CAN get up early- I just choose not to most of the time! I wasn't so happy about shopping with the kids but with 10 year olds and 8 year olds they are very picky about what they want. It was fun for the most part and the kids did OK. We had to remind Kylee and Kaylee that we were in stores and not in a park but they tried to be calm. They were being so funny posing for pictures and trying to be mannequins. They are so goofy sometimes. I got out of there only spending around $100 which Marty reminded me that I could have saved on gas and spent about the same around here. I know he is right but shopping with my best friend comes before money anytime!
No pic of Hunter- He's not to big on pictures!! sorry Kel
Yellowstone
After staying the night in Jackson we headed out to go through Yellowstone. We got to see some really good wonders and the kids were pretty amazed at the stuff they saw. We stayed Friday and Saturday night at Kevin and Heathers cabin in Island park and were able to travel back to see the sights during the days. We returned home at 4:20 on Sunday-in due time because I had to work at 4:30. Nothing like getting my vacations worth. My favorite part of Yellowstone is of course the upper and lower falls. I love waterfalls and have always loved seeing this part. My kids loved Old Faithful. Ashton took about 20 pictures with my camera. When I was viewing these I think I pretty much got a play by play! They were just amazed at all the water coming out and how that all worked. On the way home and out of the park they got a good lesson from grandpa Grant about how things work and what makes things happen and such. It always amazes me how Grant can get the kids to listen to stuff that I think sounds like a science lesson and they soak everything up like sponges. He really makes things interesting for them and I am glad that he gives the lessons and not I because who knows what stuff they would be taught. It was a busy vacation and of course you can't ever see all of Yellowstone but it was neat to be able to let the kids see how beautiful Yellowstone was. They really enjoyed it. We could have done without all the driving but how else are you supposed to go through a national park!
Jackson Hole
It has been a busy month so it has been awhile since I posted so i hope that I don't bore everyone to death with my many posts of our adventures this month. On the 7Th
of August we traveled with Marty's family and went to Jackson Hole for the night. While we were there we took the kids on the alpine slide which they loved. My sister met us there and she stayed with Kenzie while the rest of us went on the slide. She said that Kenzie would see us coming down and then look at my sister and just shrug her shoulders like we were crazy or something. Ashton was lucky enough to score a free ticket from a lady who didn't use hers and got to go twice. We heard how unfair that was from Kaylee and Allisen but we just said being the oldest has its perks! After that we headed over to have dinner at the Bar J Wranglers. They serve you a TON of food. They also put on a show of singing and telling stories and stuff like that. My kids loved the dinner but they were a little bored of the show. I thought it was great. Luckily it down poured and Marty and the kids enjoyed that for awhile. My cute little sister had to leave early to get home but she did get to stay and enjoy dinner with us. I was so glad to see her and am glad that she lives so close.

kaylee's baptism
On Saturday, my beautiful daughter decided to get baptized. I am so proud of her decision. She was baptized by her dad and she chose her grandma Linda to give a talk on the holy ghost. She had lots of family there and her best friend Kylee came up from Ogden to support her. It was really neat to see her baptised. After her baptism, we came back home and enjoyed a great dinner. Kaylee looked so beautiful in her dress and I hope that she knows how much her dad and I love her. Her dad gave her one of the best blessings I have heard and called her personality energetic. I have never referred to Kaylee's moods as "energetic" but her dad gave her a blessing that her personality will serve her well and will become a strength for her. I was so glad to hear that and it gave me a new way of looking at my most spirited child. I know she will go far in life and I know that she is a special person. I am very happy to have her in my life and very thankful for the gospel and the many blessings it brings to my family and I.
After Raging waters, the kids and I spent the night at my friend Kelly's house. We can't go through Ogden without a sleepover. The next morning Kelly took Kaylee and Kylee to a hair appointment and then we headed off to Fat Cats for some bowling. We love that place. It was quit sad because I think the kids all beat Kelly and mine score but it was a lot of fun.
Then the kids talked us into letting them ride the bumper cars.
After we played some arcade games, Kelly and I got brave and decided to ride the roller coaster simulator. It was so fun. We laughed the whole 2 1/2 minutes that the ride lasted. This simulator even turns you upside down and spins you in the air and all kinds of stuff. It isn't as great as lagoon by far but it was pretty fun. After about 4 hours and a lot of money later we decided we better get out of there. We love fat cats but we are so glad it wasn't there when we lived in Ogden. We would definitely be broke!!
Raging Waters
On Wednesday we were invited by our nice sister in law Tiffany to go to raging waters to watch Allisen do gymnastics and play for the day. We missed her gymnastics by 15 minutes but we had a blast playing at the park all day. We had so much fun playing with all the cousins and riding the water slides. Ashton attempted to go on the big water slide and go stuck halfway through and had to climb out. It was so funny. I got burnt to a crisp but it was such a fun day. Thanks Aunt Tiff for inviting us. And thanks to Kelly, Andria, and Brandy for watching little miss Kenzie so we could really enjoy ourselves!
