Michelle's coming home.
I am excited to say that Kenzie will get to meet her aunt Michelle for the first time tomorrow at 12:45. Yes it has been a year and a half and Michelle is officially already done with her mission. Marty's parents went over to Peru last Monday to have a little vacation and get her. They fly home tomorrow and we are all going to meet them at the airport. Michelle has requested Famous Dave's for lunch. I think she has been on a strict diet of beans and rice or chicken and rice and she thinks she needs meat. We are excited to see her and home her mission was a wonderful time in her life.

What I learned in 2008
1. That you can love someone so much your heart actually feels like it is going to come out of your chest.
2. When someone says they will still be around when you are 80- they mean it.
3. That ten year old's have hormones- lots of them
4. No job is stable in this day and age.
5. That it is possbile to not eat for two days and still gain three pounds!
6.That marriage still isn't easy even after 11 years.

New Year Resolutions
Maybe if I put these our for everyone to see I will hold too them. Here they are:
1. I am going to manage my money better.
2. I will lose 30 Lbs. by May
3. I will simplify my life
4. I will be more productive and use my time more wisely.
5. I will magnify my calling and put all I have into the YW.
Now wish me luck and if anyone has some great ideas on how to keep these be sure to share.

New Years Eve
My sister in law's parents own the bowling alley in Preston so every year they do a party and invite us to attend. We were really excited this year because the last two years we were either sick or I had to work so we weren't able to go. Tara and her family came as well as her sister and her family so we had someone to hang out with. The kids love to pretend they are " running" the business with Allisen in charge and showing them the ropes. They had fun putting up the bumpers and turning on and off the switches as well as spraying the shoes and putting them away! What a bunch of workers. The rest of us adults bowled our hearts out. I think Tara and I bowled four games and our fingers were really sore. We rang in the New Year with the rest of the party crew and helped clean up. We were headed home at 12:30. The baby was so good. She is definitely my kid soaring through the night like an owl or something. Marty and I got home and decided to watch a movie. If were up, why not. We didn't get to be until around 3:30. We haven't stayed up that late in I don't know how long!! Thank goodness the kids slept in. We had a blast at the party and want to tell our Aunt Tiff and her parents thanks for always putting so much fun and effort into making sure everyone has a good time.
Off to South Dakota
We were supposed to leave the day after Christmas to go to South Dakota but the storm left the roads so bad that we decided to wait until Saturday to go. We left at 6:45 in the morning and got to my dad's around 6 that night. That was actually really good time. the roads were great and other than both the girls getting care sick, it was a great ride. We only spent a couple of days there because we wanted to be home for New Years but it was a nice visit. I always love seeing my dad and my step mom and am always thankful for all they do for us when we are there. We get three FULL meals a day cooked by my dad and my step mom is always trying to sneak and do our laundry! The kids love to play with their cousin Ayden and its just a comfortable place to spend some time. Thanks Dad and Debbie for letting us come and we hope to see you again soon. We love you!
Scared of Santa?
I had to post this. Santa came and visited us the night we did our secret santa family and kenzie's face was too funny.
A little behind
It has been some time since I posted so I thought I should fill you in on our lives. We had a very good holiday season. I love when the kids get a break and we are able to have two weeks without schedules. They do get bored but we usually find things to keep them busy. On Christmas day we started out by opening our Santa presents and then our stuff under the tree. The kids got Rock Band (which they love) so they were set to stay home for the rest of the day and play that! But we went over to Tiffany and Andy's so we could open presents and do lunch with them. Then after that we headed out to my mom's and opened more presents and did dinner. We were stuffed! We were home by 5 and the kids were very happy so they could play their games. Tiffany and Andy and the girls came over and I thought Tiff was going to end up staying the night because Andy couldn't get her away from Rock Band. By the time we emerged from the basement, Logan was in a blizzard. I had to go to work so Marty took me and it took us 15 minutes to get 2 miles down the road. I thought it was an awesome way to end our holiday. I love Christmas and all the feelings that come with it. I love being able to spend time with family and I love that people are unexceptionally happy throughout this time of year. I love seeing all the cute little Christmas shows and fun little activities that we get to attend. Although it took me a little while to get in the Christmas spirit this year I am very thankful for the fun times and memories we were able to create.
