A new member of the family.
Last week Marty decided to let Ashton get a dog. What were we thinking! Its a cute dog but boy does he stink. After we bought the dog Marty looked up stuff about it on the Internet and discovered that Boston Terriers are flatulent dogs. Would have been nice to know before we bought him! Ashton named him spike and we are hoping with time this dog will fit into our family.
Back to Blogging!
So after reading previous comments about my lack of blogging I decided to update. Face book has just gotten too addicting for me. Hope you enjoy the new look.

Ashton is all grown up!
We were at dinner last week with Tiffany and her girls and Ashton says so seriously "Mom do you know what they are teaching us at school?" I just laughed and asked him what they were teaching him and his reply was "They want to teach us stuff we are NOT supposed to know about" I then remembered that we had received a paper stating that they were going to do their maturation section in school on Friday. He is so funny. I then asked him when he would like to learn about stuff like that and he told me when he was married!
I also attended a meeting today for his 6Th grade sign up. Yep he will start middle school here next year. I don't know where the time went but boy he is big. All month long he has been asking about ipod's and cell phones and really I just want him to be the little boy whose biggest problem was to tell people he WAS retarded when we were all telling him he WASN'T. I am secretly trying to figure out a way to sit outside the school and spy on him like I did when he was in kindergarten. Yeah I was also that parent that asked him repeatedly about liking preschool waiting for him to say no so he never had to go back! That day never came and here we are going into 6Th grade. I hope he always remembers the things we taught him and how to behave. And most importantly I hope he remembers that the only girls that will always be around are his sisters!!!!!! Good luck Ashy boy!
Wow- Did we have February?
I just got on my blog and realized that I haven't blogged at all last month. Did it come and go that fast? Crazy. Well here's and update:
-I have been working alot- marty not so much, but hopefully that will turn around.
-We had the opportunity to attend the walk through of the Draper Temple. My brother and his wife, my sister and her husband, My mom and grandma, Our family, Grant, Linda, Michelle and my friend Kelly and her kids all went. Afterwards we went to Cabella's and then to IKEA. I loved IKEA but Kelly and I definitely need to go by ourselves- so no one gets upset over how long we take to look around.
- I quit drinking soda once again and started running. So far so good. But I pulled a muscle today so we will see how that goes.
- I spend the first of the week in Ogden with Kelly having surgery and Marty did a super job taking care of the kids for me. I really love him and appreciate all his patience with me.
- All else is well. I don't think our month was that exciting but it must have been busy!

Michelle's coming home.
I am excited to say that Kenzie will get to meet her aunt Michelle for the first time tomorrow at 12:45. Yes it has been a year and a half and Michelle is officially already done with her mission. Marty's parents went over to Peru last Monday to have a little vacation and get her. They fly home tomorrow and we are all going to meet them at the airport. Michelle has requested Famous Dave's for lunch. I think she has been on a strict diet of beans and rice or chicken and rice and she thinks she needs meat. We are excited to see her and home her mission was a wonderful time in her life.

What I learned in 2008
1. That you can love someone so much your heart actually feels like it is going to come out of your chest.
2. When someone says they will still be around when you are 80- they mean it.
3. That ten year old's have hormones- lots of them
4. No job is stable in this day and age.
5. That it is possbile to not eat for two days and still gain three pounds!
6.That marriage still isn't easy even after 11 years.

New Year Resolutions
Maybe if I put these our for everyone to see I will hold too them. Here they are:
1. I am going to manage my money better.
2. I will lose 30 Lbs. by May
3. I will simplify my life
4. I will be more productive and use my time more wisely.
5. I will magnify my calling and put all I have into the YW.
Now wish me luck and if anyone has some great ideas on how to keep these be sure to share.
